With heartfelt gratitude, we’re thrilled to announce that through the generous donations from Shorewood Hills Elementary families and supporters, we have exceeded our fundraising goal – the PTO Annual Appeal raised $15,770!
We are so proud to be a part of the SHES community, which has once again come together to raise funds that will enhance our students’ educational experience at our remarkable school; THANK YOU!!!
Here’s where the money will go:
- Funding school community-building events, like the outdoor Fall Festival, International Week, Science Night, fifth grade graduation, and more!
- Supporting all students – with school spirit gear and a yearbook for everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
- Funding student enrichment opportunities like the poet David Daniel, after school clubs, and more!
- Recognizing our teachers and staff with meals during parent-teacher conferences and staff appreciation week. In addition, we give each teacher/staff member a small budget to fund classroom needs.
- Supporting families in need at our school and in our community. With our Families in Need Fund, we collaborate directly with our school social worker to provide gift cards and other items to families when needed.
- Funding teacher and school special requests – for example, our fundraising helped us put new water bottle filling stations throughout the school, purchase rollerblading equipment for 2nd/3rd/4th/5th graders to use in PE, support the Impact Club’s mural, and more!
