All about Improv Club:

  • What: An after-school club focused on improvisational theatre (improv), an art form focused on saying “yes” to others’ ideas, building on these ideas, and embracing mistakes to tell stories and help others feel safe and look good. Club members will play warm-up exercises and games, and work together to create scenes.
  • Goals: Connect across classrooms through improv and play; develop skills in creativity and collaboration; foster comfort, authenticity, and confidence; delight in each other.
  • Who: up to 16 children, grades 2-5
  • When: Mondays, 2:10-3:10pm, February 3 – March 17 = 7 weeks, with a sharing performance for families and friends at 2:30pm on the last day
  • Where: Shorewood Hills Elementary gym
  • Fee: $50 (Please email shorewood.pto@gmail.com for inquiries on fee assistance.)

If your child is interested in joining the Improv Club, please sign up using the above link before registration closes on Friday, January 17th.  Spaces will be limited.  If more students are interested than spots are available, enrollment will be assigned via a lotto system. Club enrollment (or waitlist status) will be determined by Friday, January 24th.
