International Week is finally here!
We still need volunteers for set up, clean up and general tasks to keep the events running smoothly. Volunteers receive complimentary food fair tickets.
The PTO can’t make International Week happen without parent volunteers! Thank you for considering how you will volunteer and help to make this a wonderful week.
This Week’s Events:
Parade and Performance Wednesday, April 23rd (9 am and 6 pm), SHES Gym
The performance begins with a parade of student participants wearing their traditional outfits or performance attire. Performers share traditional cultural music, dance or other arts. The daytime performance is for students and staff only. Performers: arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. dressed in costume for the evening performance. Parade & Performance Sign-Up
Global Food Fair Saturday, April 26th 11:00 am -1:00 pm, SHES Gym & Lunchroom
The Food Fair is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to learn about the delicious and unique food of other countries, regions and cultures. Volunteers and their families get early access to food 11-11:15 a.m. Global Food Fair Participant Sign-Up
Note: General admission begins at 11:15 a.m. Visitors pay for tickets and are able to sample food provided by volunteers from SHES families.
Food Fair tickets: $30 for family, $15 for adults, $5 kids. Cash preferred, Zelle available.
Global Village Saturday, April 26th 11:30-2 pm, SHES Classrooms
During the event, our school’s classrooms will be transformed into country displays featuring posters, artwork, coins, clothing, jewelry, etc., from various countries. Visitors can travel from room to room, participating in hands-on activities and filling a passport with stamps as they go.
